Halo 2 PC Release Announced Finally!

While the ever lucky Xbox 360 owners wait to see when the release date of the highly anticipated Halo 3 is, PC gamers are still waiting for Halo 2 to be released. The announcement was even skeptical at last weeks Game Developers Conference and they had merely said the first half of this year...

Today with the official announcement of Games for Windows Live (PC equivalent of Xbox Live), Microsoft has revealed that Halo 2 for PC will be released on May 8th. As expected the game will require Windows Vista and is in development by Hired Gun who are an internal Microsoft Studio working with Bungie.

Halo 2 for PCs will include 1,000 achievement points. The game can also be played with either mouse & keyboard or Xbox 360 controller for Windows, and will include a map editor (which will please a lot of people).

Yeah they have always said it would be for Vista only, just a way to sell Vista to people... but seems a little late to be using Halo 2 because as good as it is its an old title most people have already or have at least played a lot.

You can get Windows Vista for a laptop of course, or buy one with it already but make sure its a powerful one as its more demanding than XP and if you plan on playing good games on it aswel it will need to have some good specs. Plus Windows Vista to buy alone is quite pricey!

vista home premium upgrade is about 200
Ultimate upgrade is 299 I think
If you're getting a laptop you want to make sure it says Vista Certified NOT Vista Capable get at lest Home Premium but Ultimate is better. Home Basic is for someone who only wants to email and surf the web IMO
