Advent Children Wins Award

Square Enix has just announced that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has won the award for Best Anime Feature at the first ever American Anime awards, which took place at the New York Comic Con recently.

The movie which is based on the popular 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, was released in the US in April on DVD and UMD for PSP. The film featured the voices of celebrities such as Rachael Leigh Cook, Mena Suvari, and Steve Burton and was directed by series veteran Tetsuya Nomura.

Very good news all around for Square Enix with Final Fantasy XII being the top selling game on the PS2 at the moment aswel

Im a big fan to, got Final Fantasy XII yesterday. Different and unique but sure i will get used to it in time.

New battle system is a 'massive' change but i admire them for having the guts to change things.

Yeah. But the battle system looks so awesome. I was annoyed because it was really frustrating when it was just YOU by yourself.

Just hard to get used to being able to run around and attack at the same time, very weird for Final Fantasy game.

No what annoyed me was that it wasn't like a hack and slah game like Dynasty Warriors or Kingdom Hearts (which are fun)

You have to wait after you've said you are going to attack.

Well turn based is what Final Fantasy is all about. It is an RPG not a Hack and Slash game and is famed for its combat system which is why i was shocked with the change.

Yeah me too. I am really good at the turned system. Games such as Chrono Chross or Shadow Hearts were no match for my Skillz.

That Movies So Leet. I'm never watching it in English. Ever.

In truth, there was only supposed to be ONE FINAL fantasy. It was the last game they were putting out before they shut down, but final fantasy became so big, that they just kept it going..or something like that. That's what Justin told me

I hated that lame movie; Final Fantasy: Spirits Within Or something like that.

But I'm only going to say this once.
JUST BECAUSE IT WAS CALLED "FINAL FANTASY" doesn't mean it had anything to do with the games. in my opinion that movie was brilliant and beautiful. And the fact that mostly everyone dies in the end is kick ***.

Lol. I guess it was pretty cool. But I was extremely disappointed, as the rumours going around my school before I watched it was that it was of FF8 and the girl standing on the water in the poster was Rinoa lol >.

The english one is still pretty sweet, i quite liked it.

Yeah a good point i liked that movie... however it wasnt based on the games and more or less just used the name as a selling point but was a good movie for what it was but NOT a Final Fantasy movie.
