One of the most controversial games ever made has now had a sequel announced by Rockstar recently. Manhunt was taken off the shelves in many countries and also banned in a few others but that hasn't put Rockstar off at all.

Afew new features that have just been announced:

• The Director, gangs, CCTV cameras and death row dodger, James Earl Cash, from the first Manhunt won't play a part

• New feature, syringe kill, which involves character Manhunt kicking an enemy to the ground and stamping on him before thrusting a lengthy needle into his foes eye.

• Manhunt 2's main character, scientist Dr Daniel Lamb, is locked in a private asylum by The Project - shady backers of a top secret drugs-based weapons program that Lamb was working on

• After breaking out of the asylum, Daniel Lamb goes on the run with psychotic inmate Leo Kasper, who is happy to coach Lamb on the brutal art of violence

• Like the first Manhunt, kills are executed in three deadly shades - Hasty, Violent and Gruesome

• Environmental kills have been introduced (push an enemy face first into a live fuse box, for example)

• Loud ambient noises can be exploited by Lamb to drown out his own crashing about

• When hiding in shadows, if an enemy comes close the player will sometimes have to copy a button combo in order to regulate Lamb's breathing and ensure that he remains undetected

• Lamb can climb and crawl - two moves that Manhunt's James Earl Cash couldn't do

• Guns can be used for stealth kills

I will read reviews first as Manhunt was really gruesome and fun but had its flaws and could have been better but good for mindless acts of violence and butchering hope Manhunt 2 tries to build more of a solid game foundation around all the killing and maiming.

This is the company Rockstar we are talking about ... need we say more...? Plus peace and prosperity would make a damn boring game and i prefer torture and murder

yeah, say rockstar ...... and you think of blood, violence and gang fights ( well i do anyway) but a hippie game would be fairly boring i was livening up discussion thats all really ...

Yeah Rockstar are the masters of controversy which is why i admire them, they try things in games that others wouldnt dare!

Seems no matter how many lawsuits are filed against them they just come out with more and more controversial titles year after year!

I'm the same as Selothi really - this isn't my cup of tea...mind you, I don't ever want to play Gears of War either after watching some guy slice through some other thingy with a chainsaw...I'm such a wimp...
