most of the scribbles around at the end when Desmond gets eagle vision,

it seems quite apparent that Assassin's Creed 2 might be in an oriental setting, not unlike China or feudal Japan or whatnot. I searched for this and got nothing, so I figure here is the best place to put the possible sequel location. Any thoughts on it? I personally find that it's a great angle for a sequel. And just imagine running about on the great wall of China! Awesomeness.

It's not just Japan, if you looked at all the clues. There are clues leading to the Aztec or Mayan temples, Egypt, some place in Africa, South America and such.

yup, but japan offers the most obvious medium to be an assassin: ninjas-

just replace:
*the short blade with a naginata (that may be some kind of spear thing, but i have the shorter katana thing in mind) or a pair of sais
*the throwing knives with shurikens
*the scimitar with a katana
*and reuse the hidden blade (hey, its awesome!)

i guess theres the issue of being quite obviously a ninja, walking around in broad daylight wearing all black... but the simple remedy would be too all the investigative stuff during the day, and the assassinations during the night..

it also offers the perfect medium for the templars: ronin (rogue samurai)..

honestly, except for egypt, which of the other civilizations offer as many possibilities? - but i suppose if they want to keep desmond, it'd make more sense to keep the ancestor middle-eastern, so egypt would be a likely choice.. japan would just be so much cooler though..

just a further thought, altair has quite a few allusions to an eagle.. the booklet mentions that his name is arabic for "flying one", but also, his hood resembles an eagle's head, and an eagle squawk can be heard during every leap of faith..

i think its a clever character device to compare the ancestor to an animal - assuming the sequel takes place in japan, what will they replace the eagle with? a wolf? hear a wolf's howl every leap of faith? nieh, just a thought..

It's diffinetely got something to do with china,chinese...at the end in eaglevision theres drawings of chinese type buildings and it says on the floor "yuna guni"...this is a place in china..

It's not just a place but a now submerged Island. It's also the first mention of Atlantis known to man. Though i suspect china will feature heavily, Brazil and the Amazon and other places will also feature.

Yeah would totally be cool but remember a ninja isnt a person who always goes around in clear daylight and walks around in the shadows. They wear clothes of the housecleaner or such (depends on who their attacking etc.) and their throwingstars are not for killing but a quick distraction. which truely does sound like assassins creed

Sounds like a Hitman sort of idea right there. I do think changing clothes should be allowed as you have to blend in with the crowds and cant do that in 1 attire.

In my opinion i hope that its not all ninja-like beacsue too me its too cliche and obvious.Although it would be very fun i would love it too be in a setting that hasnt been in the gaming industry for years which i cant think of many but South America/Mayan Empire sounds really intriging to me.
